The MPIA Outreach team

A key factor of MPIA outreach is that many of our staff members take an active role in bringing our research and our results to the general public. But more specifically, here is a list of MPIA employees specifically working in outreach.

MPIA outreach has the support of all institute scientists, and our activities are in close collaboration with Haus der Astronomie - Center for Astronomy Education and Outreach.

General inquiries about outreach or public relations at MPIA should be directed to pr@mpia.de.

If you're a journalist who's

• in search of a particular bit of astronomical information
• interested in research at the Max Planck Institute for Astronomy
• in need of an astronomical expert to quote, interview, or provide background information
• interested in shooting film on the MPIA campus

then we'll be happy to help you - we're usually able to either answer your questions ourselves, or bring you in contact with a suitable expert either at the Max Planck Institue for Astronomy or another astronomical institute.
